Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is gearing up for an exhilarating addition to its annual cricket calendar with the inaugural Lanka T-10 League set to take place from December 12 to 22. Promising a thrilling ten days of action, this tournament will showcase the talents of both international and domestic cricket stars.
Featuring six men’s teams representing regional cricket hubs, each squad will comprise 16 players, including six foreign players. This presents a golden opportunity for local cricketers to showcase their skills alongside renowned international stars, fostering growth and exposure within the cricketing community.
Shammi Silva, President of Sri Lanka Cricket, expressed confidence in the success of the tournament, emphasizing its role in keeping Sri Lanka Cricket aligned with the evolving trends in the sport. He envisions the Lanka T-10 League not only as a platform for captivating cricket but also as a means of broadening the tournament’s appeal on a global scale.

With a commitment to making history and delivering thrilling matches, the league promises to captivate cricket enthusiasts worldwide.
The matches are scheduled to be held at some of Sri Lanka’s premier international cricket venues, with the possibility of utilizing the modern lighting system at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. This strategic choice of venues aims to enhance the spectator experience and showcase the best of Sri Lankan cricketing infrastructure.
In line with SLC’s efforts to promote cricket at both domestic and international levels, the Lanka T-10 League will complement the existing Lanka Premier League (LPL) T-20 tournament. With plans to host both T-20 and T-10 tournaments, SLC aims to provide ample opportunities for local and foreign cricketers to shine on the global stage.
